Strategy bought 334 bitcoin and Strive added 2,000, a combined 2,334 BTC of fresh corporate demand, even as sellers rejected a move above $87,000 for the third time since 23 September. Cryptify Now reported that Strategy's purchase, funded by about $28.7 million of Class A common stock sales, took its holdings to 848,000 BTC. Strive's 2,000 BTC purchase, reported at around $169 million, raised its holdings from 27,462 to 29,462 BTC.

The buys did not clear the $87,000 ceiling

The funding structures differ. Strategy sold common stock, a model that adds bitcoin per share only if the purchase outpaces dilution. Strive funded mainly through its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock, known as SATA, a structure that prioritizes investor dividends and adds complexity to its treasury strategy. Neither buy moved the market for long. Bitcoin fell about 0.5% to near $85,800 after the rejection above $87,000, a level that has capped rallies multiple times since 23 September, though the coin has formed higher local lows, a sign that buyers keep stepping in without yet generating breakout momentum. The divergence from equities is notable: the Nasdaq 100 hit a record and the S&P 500 neared an all-time high in the same stretch, while bitcoin, ether, XRP, solana and dogecoin slipped 1% to 2% and Cardano gained about 11%. Corporate buying signals real demand, but it does not by itself end market selling, as the worst ETF outflow week since June made clear. Strategy's accumulation pace has slowed through the autumn, from 1,665 BTC in late September to 334 BTC in the latest purchase. The next test for the treasury trade is Wednesday's U.S. CPI print and BlackRock earnings.
