Strategy bought another 811 bitcoin for about $65.5 million between 26 October and 1 November, taking reported holdings to 849,327 BTC. The Block said the company paid an average of $80,846 a coin. The full stack was acquired for about $64.1 billion at an average of $75,451. The latest purchase price sits above both that portfolio average and Tuesday's market near $76,500, which is in today's price note. The buy resumes after the week Strategy spent on preferred shares and added no bitcoin, when holdings stood at 848,517 BTC, in the 27 October pause note.
Common-stock sales funded the coins, and STRC buybacks continued
The Block said the purchase was funded through sales of MSTR common stock. Strategy sold around $164 million of shares during the week. It also repurchased about $208.2 million of STRC preferred shares and paid $43.4 million in preferred dividends from cash reserves. The prior week's STRC repurchase was $204.9 million. Strategy remains the largest public corporate holder. The Block said the stack is more than 4% of bitcoin's 21 million coin cap.
The buy lands while spot funds are still losing money
US spot bitcoin ETFs lost $398.6 million on Monday, a second outflow day, inside a combined $538.3 million exit with ether funds. That flow is in today's ETF note. The corporate bid is a separate stream from those redemptions. US voters are at the polls on Tuesday, and a December rate hike is still priced near 72.5%, in the economy briefing. More company coverage is on the business desk.
