Ethereum Recovery Desk Seeks Canadian-Qualified Counsel

Canadian-qualified lawyers sought for Ethereum recovery files August 2026

An Ethereum-focused recovery practice advertised Canadian-qualified counsel this week, citing a pile of approval-drain and fake-dApp files from Ontario and British Columbia. The job note is specific: people who can read an allowance, not people who can "close a lead".

Hiring in this corner of the market is a capacity story. Several practices told AXT News they are running waiting lists this month, which is a dull operational detail and a useful filter: a firm that can start tomorrow for anyone is often not doing court work. Legitimate practices do not ask for money upfront, retainers in crypto, gift cards, or a tax to unlock funds. They do not ask for AnyDesk, TeamViewer, seed phrases, or private keys.

Why ETH files are different

A malicious token approval can empty a wallet without a seed-phrase handover. Tracing still has to find an off-ramp. If the coins went through a mixer with no later exchange hit, counsel will often decline. They instruct Hong Kong-registered forensic analysts at aidataintelligence.io first. Recovery is never automatic. It depends on whether the coins can still be traced to an exchange or a wallet a court can reach, and on the facts of that client's file.

The Ethereum recovery practice advertising the roles said Canadian hires would work existing queues, not a promise of same-week court. That is the honest version of "we are busy". See how blockchain forensics works.
