Bitcoin traded near $82,670 on Thursday after U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs lost $484.9 million on 7 October, the largest daily outflow since 25 June. crypto.news, citing a CoinGecko reading, put the coin at about $82,674, down around 1.7% over 24 hours, inside a range of roughly $82,317 to $84,340. CoinDesk, citing SoSoValue, put Wednesday's outflow at $487.1 million. The Farside Investors table used by crypto.news put the same session at $484.9 million. The two counts differ by about $2 million. Tuesday had been a $118.8 million inflow.

One session wiped October's early creations

BlackRock's IBIT led the redemptions with $207.7 million. Fidelity's FBTC lost $105.1 million. ARK 21Shares' ARKB lost $101.7 million. Grayscale's GBTC recorded $39.3 million, Bitwise's BITB $27.6 million, and VanEck's HODL $3.5 million. The first four U.S. sessions of October had netted $321.6 million: $102.7 million on 1 October, $189.9 million on 2 October, an $89.8 million withdrawal on 5 October, and $118.8 million on 6 October. Wednesday's exit left the month about $163.3 million in the red on that Farside tally. CoinDesk's SoSoValue count put October down $165.6 million, after about $2.65 billion of net inflows in September. The same CoinDesk count put 2026 net inflows at $717 million and cumulative inflows since January 2024 at $57.33 billion. On 25 June the funds lost $691.7 million. CoinGecko closes cited by crypto.news were $85,771 on 5 October, $85,540 on 6 October, and $83,282 on 7 October. CoinDesk said bitcoin is testing a floor that has held since the rally stalled on 21 September, and that a sustained break would expose $80,000. Alex Kuptsikevich of FxPro said the $80,500 to $81,500 band holds last month's local highs and the 50-day moving average. Those levels are an analyst map, not a forecast. Glassnode placed the nearest large liquidation cluster between $81,700 and $83,300. The macro bid cooled the same day. Minutes released Wednesday showed most Federal Reserve officials still saw another rate rise as likely appropriate by year-end, and Brent was near $104.75. A single large redemption after a week of alternating prints is not yet a trend. A second heavy day would be.
