US spot bitcoin ETFs lost $1.28 billion last week, their worst week since late June, and the year is now in the red. The Block, using SoSoValue data, said the 12 funds closed Friday, 6 November, with about $914.1 million of net outflows for 2026. They had entered the week about $368 million in the green for the year, a surplus that first appeared in late September. Thursday's $430 million exit is in Friday's flow note.

Four down days, and one modest inflow

The week was negative on every session except Wednesday. The Block put Monday at a $398.6 million outflow, Tuesday at $115.6 million, Thursday at $430.2 million, and Friday at $411.9 million. Wednesday's $74.6 million inflow was the only creation day, and it is the session covered in Wednesday's combined flow story. The weekly total ranks seventh among the largest outflow weeks since the funds launched in January 2024. It was also the second straight negative week.

Bitcoin itself did not bounce once the flows were in. The coin held near $75,700 through Sunday morning, in today's price note, after giving back a midweek trade above $80,000. A stronger October jobs report, 165,000 payrolls and 4.1% unemployment, put a December rate hike back near 77%.

Friday's selling sat in BlackRock's IBIT

The Friday print was not a uniform exit. NewsBTC, citing Farside Investors, said BlackRock's IBIT lost $403 million, about 88% of the day's gross outflows on The Block's reading. Bitwise's BITB lost $20.5 million, ARK 21Shares' ARKB lost $20.1 million, and Grayscale's GBTC lost $11.1 million. Fidelity's FBTC took in $42.8 million and was the only fund with a published inflow. TokenPost had the same shape: a $411.92 million net outflow, IBIT at $403 million, FBTC at $42.82 million, and $2.33 billion of trading volume, of which IBIT was $1.83 billion.

Across the five November sessions, a TFTC table of Farside figures shows IBIT down about $1.2 billion while FBTC is up $93.1 million. That split matters. A flow table shows shares created or redeemed in a listed fund. It does not name the end investor, and it does not prove those coins were sold on a spot exchange the same hour. What it does show is that the largest product carried the week's withdrawal.

Ether funds extend a six-week streak

Spot ether ETFs lost $365.3 million last week, a sixth straight negative week, The Block said. The run has taken about $2.02 billion out of the funds since late September. Wednesday was again the only inflow day, at $53 million. Monday's $139.8 million outflow was the week's largest, then $100 million on Thursday and $93.2 million on Friday. BlackRock's ETHA accounted for $90.8 million of Friday's total. The products are down about $405.6 million for 2026. Net assets fell 2.9% on the week to $12.84 billion, against $11.92 billion of cumulative net inflows since launch. Solana and Hyperliquid ETFs each logged a fifth straight outflow week. Ether coverage is on the Ethereum desk, and the full week is on the markets desk.
