U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds recorded $1.84 million of net outflows in the week ended 16 October, ending a run of 13 consecutive positive weeks and removing the last source of inflows among the major crypto ETF categories. SoSoValue data, written up by CryptoSlate, showed the small reversal followed an $11.31 million inflow the week before. The streak had run unbroken from the week ended 17 July through 9 October. Cumulative net inflows into the XRP complex held near $1.80 billion, while total assets slipped to $1.47 billion from $1.57 billion a week earlier, reflecting both the redemptions and the token's own decline. The weekly flow table we covered on Sunday, built from the CoinShares global cut that showed $70 million of XRP inflows, covers a different universe of listed products, so the two dollar totals do not line up. The U.S. spot table is the stricter read, and it has now turned.

Every major category lost money in the same week

The XRP slip came inside a broad redemption week. Bitcoin ETFs lost $228.58 million, though that was about 66% smaller than the prior week's $681.10 million exit. Ether products lost $319.97 million, roughly 56% of the four-category total, stretching their losing run to three weeks and about $1 billion; cumulative ether inflows fell to $12.94 billion and net assets to $14.95 billion from $15.71 billion, which tracks what we reported in ether's $320.1 million outflow week. Solana funds shed $25.52 million, a second straight negative week that brought their two-week losses to $50.33 million, after the category's own 14-week streak ended earlier this month. Together the four categories lost $575.91 million in the week and about $1.81 billion over two weeks, though the weekly pace slowed from roughly $1.24 billion.

What turns the table back

Ecoinometrics linked the slower bitcoin ETF buying to higher Treasury yields, which raise the hurdle for moving cash into a non-yielding asset. The counterpoint arrived on Monday, when the bitcoin complex drew $526.6 million in a single day, its best print in nearly a month, while XRP funds posted no flow at all. For the XRP books, the question is whether last week was a pause or the start of a redemption pattern like the one that hit solana after its own streak broke. The first daily prints of this week, due after each U.S. close, will answer that faster than any weekly table.
